Stars Loyalty Card Terms And Condtions.

1. CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP
Stars Café Bar Ltd are the owners of Stars Café Bars. Stars’ Loyalty Card Reward Scheme (‘the programme’) is only available to individual members who have registered online and who provide a valid individual email address and Loyalty Card number. A password, which should be kept secret, enables the customer to access their member account online. Persons under eighteen (18) years are not entitled to participate in the collection of Loyalty points. Members are required to update any changes to their details immediately online at www.stars-bar.com.

2. EMAIL COMMUNICATION

All members must provide a valid individual email address.  This email address will be used to communicate important information about a member's account.  

3. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR CUSTOMER LOYALTY CARD USAGE

  • One Loyalty Card valid per applicant.
  • If your Loyalty Card is lost or stolen, you will need to buy another card at your local Stars. We will still transfer your Points accrued on the lost card. 
  • If your Loyalty Card is damaged, you need to present the card to a member of staff at your local Stars for testing and if the card does not work you will be issued with a new card free of charge. will still transfer your Points accrued on the lost card. 
  • Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer.
  • Only open to people aged over 18 (photographic ID may be required).
  • There is no cash alternative.
  • Promotion organised by Stars Café Bar Ltd, trading as Stars, 36 Market Square, Aylesbury, Bucks, HP20 1TW.
  • The card must be presented at the time of placing your order.
  • The promoter has the right to withdraw or amend the promotion as necessary.
  • You must have a 2010 - 2011 registered Loyalty Card to receive additional discounts and promotions.
  • Stars Café Bar Ltd promotes responsible drinking.
  • Please drink in moderation.
  • Promotion ends 1st December 2011.

4. COLLECTION OF LOYALTY POINTS
4.1 Loyalty Points will be issued in participating outlets of Stars for Qualifying Expenditure (see Clause 4). Loyalty Points may only be collected in relation to transactions which are entered into by the individual cardholder. Only one account per member is permitted. Household accounts are not permitted, and nor is collecting Loyalty Points on transactions entered into by friends, acquaintances or business colleagues. Members are not entitled to claim or collect Loyalty Points on transactions entered into prior to the date of joining the Loyalty Card Reward Scheme.
4.2 Members must present their Loyalty Card at the time of purchase of the relevant items/services. In the event that (a) the Loyalty system is not working in the relevant outlet at the time of purchase; or (b) a member forgets to present their card at the time of purchase; or (c) a member has forgotten their Loyalty Card at the relevant time of purchase, Stars may, as a gesture of goodwill, credit Loyalty Points to members who are able to send to Stars Loyalty department (details of which are available at www.stars-bar.com) receipts for participating outlets at the relevant Stars, provided that: (i) those receipts are in good condition; and (ii) the receipts are less than three (3) months old; and (iii) except where Stars is satisfied that subsection (a) applies (i.e. that the system was not working at the time of the relevant transactions) members may only submit a maximum of ten (10) receipts per calendar year in this manner. Stars reserves the right at its sole discretion to decline to credit Loyalty Points for transactions in this manner if it has reasonable grounds for suspecting that one or more of the claims being submitted is either fraudulent or not in compliance with the Loyalty Card Reward Scheme.
4.3 Acceptance of Loyalty Cards may vary between bars.

  • Loyalty Card 20% off discount applies to food and drink at Stars Bar, Las Americas, Tenerife.
  • Loyalty Card 20% off discount applies to food only at The Bell, 29 Lower Road, Stoke Mandeville, HP22 5XA
  • Loyalty Card discounts are not valid on Bank Holidays although points may still be accrued.
  • This offer excludes all promotional prices including Loyalty Card prices and applies to full tariff prices only.
  • Minimum pricing will apply due to licensing regulations; therefore some products will remain at full price.
  • Terms and Conditions and Stars’ decision shall be final.
  • Stars reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time
5. AWARD OF LOYALTY POINTS
5.1 Loyalty Points will be awarded at the following rate: 2 Loyalty Point per £1 spent in participating outlets. Loyalty Points collected as detailed above are ‘standard’ Loyalty Points. Stars reserves the right to change outlets or exclude products from time to time. Participating outlets may also change from time to time.
5.2 Extra points promotions
The terms and conditions for extra points promotions will be communicated to members at the time of the promotion.
5.3 Stars endeavours to allocate Loyalty Points to members’ accounts as soon as possible, and this is generally within a twenty four (24) hour period.

6. STATEMENTS OF ACCOUNTS
Loyalty Point balances are made available online at www.stars-bar.com for members participating in the programme.  Each member’s personal profile will show the total of unredeemed Loyalty Points awarded during the programme and available to redeem at that date.

7. REDEEMING STARS POINTS AND CHANGES TO REDEMPTION REQUIREMENTS

To redeem Loyalty Points against rewards, members should access their account online at www.stars-bar.com and follow the instructions, (please see FAQ for more details). Stars tries to ensure that it can always offer a variety of rewards which are attractive to members. Accordingly, Stars reserves the right to alter the rewards offered to members (whether in relation to all available rewards or just to some) at any time. By way of example, Stars may do this where the provider of the relevant reward withdraws it, or changes the terms on which it is offered, or where take-up of the relevant reward among the Loyalty membership is poor, and hence Stars may wish to introduce a different reward which is more attractive to the membership as a whole. Where Stars does withdraw a reward, it shall use all reasonable endeavours to substitute it with a reward which is of a similar, or better, type or value for the reward which has been withdrawn, (except where the reward is being withdrawn due to poor take-up, in which case a similar alternative may not be made available). Stars will use reasonable endeavours to give notice, by appropriate means, of the withdrawal of any reward as is reasonable in the circumstances (bearing in mind that Stars may not receive much, or any notice from the relevant reward provider).
Stars also reserves the right to vary the number of Loyalty Points required in exchange for rewards. If it does so, Stars will use reasonable endeavours to give notice, by appropriate means, of the change (bearing in mind that Stars may not receive much, or any notice from the relevant reward provider). This will not affect Loyalty Points already awarded in respect of previous transactions nor will it affect the member’s statutory rights (if any).
Reward Terms and conditions
Applications to redeem Loyalty Points for rewards should be made in advance of use. Voucher based rewards may be subject to specific Terms and conditions or redemption of a reserved seating area that required prior booking with a venue.

8. EXCHANGE AND TRANSFERENCE
Loyalty Points cannot be exchanged for cash. Loyalty Points are not transferable from one member to another.

9.  ACCOUNT CLOSURE
Members may close their Loyalty account at any time by writing to Stars Loyalty Card Reward Scheme, 36 Market Square, Aylesbury, Bucks, HP20 1TW. See also anything which may arise from clause 2 above regarding account closure.
Without prejudice to Clause 2 above, Stars reserves the right to close a member’s Loyalty account automatically if (a) there has been no Loyalty Points collection activity and no redemption of Loyalty Points for a continuous period of 12 months, or (b) if as result of our investigations we believe the account is not being operated in accordance with the Terms and conditions of the programme.  If Stars has a valid email address for the member, Stars will notify the member by email in advance of doing so.  Members whose accounts have been closed according to Clause 9 (a) can request them to be reinstated by emailing loyalty@stars-bar.com.

11. MISUSE

Where Stars believes that there has been a breach of the Loyalty Card Reward Scheme Terms and conditions or the Terms and conditions of any reward, or for any other legitimate reason, Stars may refuse to process a claim, refuse to award Loyalty Points, withdraw Loyalty Points already awarded or close the member’s account (in accordance with Clause 9 (c) above).  Stars also reserves the right to suspend a member’s account while Stars carries on an investigation into potential misuse or fraud.

12. DURATION
The Loyalty Card Reward Scheme will continue indefinitely except where the member's Loyalty Card account is terminated earlier pursuant to Clause 2 and/or 9 above.  Unredeemed Loyalty Points will not be redeemable following termination of the programme.

13. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Stars reserve the right to modify these Terms and conditions at any time at its discretion (acting reasonably).  Stars advises that you go to www.stars-bar.com regularly to check for updates.

14. PROMOTER

The Promoter of the Loyalty Card Reward Scheme is Stars Café Bar, registered office is Rowley 36 Market Square, Aylesbury, Bucks, HP20 1 TW.

15. STATUTORY RIGHTS
Nothing in these Terms and conditions affects your statutory rights.

16. LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms and conditions shall be construed and governed by the laws of England and Wales and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
